Want Kindness In Your Life? These Affirmations Will Help

Kindness matters. It makes you happier, helps you get along with others better, releases oxytocin, spreads like wildfire, and makes a huge impact on the world. It matters in everything you do and impacts everything. That’s why we all want more kindness in our lives. We want to experience kindness and be kinder so that we can reap the benefits that we know are available. So how can you get more kindness? Affirm to yourself the following things daily.

I Don’t Know What Others Are Struggling With So I Act With Kindness

That ‘jerk’ that you want to punch may have just lost his daughter to suicide.

That ‘bitch’ that gives you a dirty look may be struggling with depression and not capable of feeling anything but hate at the moment.

You just don’t know what people are struggling with, which is why it’s important to be kind despite how other people act.

That doesn’t mean that you let people walk over you. It just means you see things from a lens of ‘I don’t know what others are struggling with,’ and then you talk and react as kindly as you can. You may be surprised at how a kind reaction, word, or gesture can make someone feel good again.

My Kindness Is Not Wasted

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” – Aesop

Hate and anger are wasteful emotions. They don’t get things done. They don’t help out other people or yourself. They just drag on a bad situation for longer than needed.

Kindness, on the other hand, can help move things along. It can solve problems and resolve conflict. It can even change someone’s life.

I know a guy who was sent to Italy when he was young to ‘learn how to be a man’. Everyone was mean to him there except his grandfather, who always showed him kindness. His grandfather – the only person who was kind to him in his youth – is the reason he didn’t go down a dark path and ended up such a great guy who impacts the world in a positive way.

Your kindness is never wasted. It will impact someone or something in a good way – even if it’s just yourself.

Kindness Looks Good On Me

A kind person is much more attractive than an angry, mean, or bitter person. In fact, one of the most attractive traits you can have is not confidence, it’s kindness.

This is a great affirmation to remember if you are single. Your kindness will get you noticed in all the right ways.

It’s also great if you are in any kind of relationship – whether it be friendship, family, or co-worker. If you truly want to be liked – not just fake liked on Facebook, be kind. Kindness earns respect from others.

I Am A Kind Person

Declare that you are kind right now.

The more you declare it, the more you will believe that you are.

Sometimes this positive affirmation formula doesn’t always work. For instance, saying ‘I am thin’ may not work if you have a mirror and know that you are not thin. But, saying ‘I am a kind person,’ doesn’t require time to change. It just requires that today you be a kind person who is thoughtful, giving, and compassionate.

Bottom Line: You can slip into being a kind person quite easily just by believing that you are kind.
