As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized how important faith is in life. I’m working on developing my faith each day, which is why I love the following Joel Osteen quotes on faith. They are a reminder on why faith is so important, why faith is necessary, and how to keep the faith.
1. You Don’t Know What’s To Come Of This
God speaks what is not yet said.
If you are like me, you are someone who can predict the future with complete clarity – at least according to your own worries and fears. I’m great at this.
But, the truth is that we have no idea what lies ahead. How many times has something come into your life that you never imagined would come in? For me, the answer is many.
For instance, I didn’t know I would be writing online for a living twenty years ago. I thought I was going to be the owner of a doggy daycare. But, there were other plans for me that I was not aware of.
Each action I took got me closer to where I am even though I didn’t realize what was happening at the time. For example, getting demoted in one of my jobs that I was miserable at helped me move towards my dreams, even though I didn’t know it.
Have faith that what is happening to you is for a positive reason you don’t yet know about.
2. Your Faith Is What Matters Most
Nothing is more powerful than your faith.
Your friends, neighbors, or even co-workers may have faith for you, but there’s nothing more powerful than having your own faith.
When you have faith in yourself and what’s to come, things move a lot quicker. You are more likely to be motivated to take action in your life. And, you are more likely to keep open to opportunities that come your way.
When you don’t’ have faith, you may spend so much time in fear or complaining that you don’t have the energy to take action or are not able to see the opportunities.
3. Is Something Good Going To Happen Today?
We should live with this anticipation that something good is going to happen.
Joel Osteen says we all have issues, but don’t let that stop you from what’s in your future. This could be the month, week, or day.
I can’t count how many times amazing things have happened unexpectedly in my days. And, that’s how it goes. It only takes one moment for something awesome to happen.
What great news or achievement is going to come your way today? Live with anticipation and you will feel much better, even when issues are arising.
4. But What If I Believe For It And It Doesn’t Happen?
What if you believe for it and it does happen?
Don’t focus on what if it doesn’t happen, focus on what if it DOES happen. That focus will help you take action and do things you might otherwise not do because if it does happen as a result of you doing those things, it’s going to be awesome.
5. Stop Waiting For A Higher Power To Do Something
Maybe God’s waiting for you to do something.
Waiting for a higher power to move the right things into your life? What if it can’t do that until YOU take a certain action?
Stop waiting around and take action! Do things that may help what you want come to you quicker.
6. Have Active Faith
Our faith should be active. Our normal attitude should be Lord, I’m looking for your goodness, not next week, not next month, not next year… I’m looking for it today.
Again, live with the anticipation that it could happen today.
I find that visualization is really good for this. Wake up and visualize good things happening today. Allow yourself to dream and expect and have faith in the power of today. That will help you spot all the things to be grateful for in your day and stay on a positive emotion that helps you attract what you most want into your life.
7. Faith Is What Moves Mountains
Your faith is going to make you whole. Your faith is going to break the addiction. Your faith is going to bring you out of debt. Your faith is going to help those dreams come to pass.
I’ve seen this over and over again. When you believe in something enough, you end up bringing it into your reality in some way.
Faith in yourself is what helps you keep moving forward towards what you want and need in life. Faith helps you take it step-by-step until you get to where you want to go.
8. Have Faith Or Get Stuck
As long as you justify where you are, making excuses as to why you can’t rise higher or why you’re bitter or why you can’t accomplish a dream, then you’ll get stuck.
When you don’t have faith, you start to make excuses about where you are and why you can’t have the life you want. You don’t have confidence or trust in yourself and what you are worthy of receiving, so you don’t DO anything to help you create something different in your life. You get stuck.
9. Life Is About Change
You have to be willing to leave some things if you are going to become all you were created to be.
I know how hard it is to leave old habits and beliefs behind you. It’s uncomfortable. But, if you want to reach your dreams, then your life is going to have to change. You can’t keep doing what you are doing and expect to get different results.
Have faith that taking on new habits and beliefs, and leaving some behind, is exactly what you need to do to move you towards your dreams.
10. You’ll Never See What’s Coming
Walk by faith and not by sight.
Each day you walk by faith and not by sight. When you realize that, you will realize how important faith really is.
As someone who works online, I know how important faith is. My income is dependent upon sales, and I don’t see those sales coming. They just come! I must keep the faith that I will continue to make sales so that I continue to work and do what’s needed to grow my business and become more successful.
You never see what’s coming, but having faith that it’s going to be goodwill help you keep moving forward in a positive way.
